Belt helps you track your home’s major assets (like appliances, HVAC, roof, water heater, and more). It uses AI and industry data, or inputs that you choose to estimate the condition, expected lifespan, and replacement costs — and even reminds you about maintenance.
You can track most large appliances (refrigerator, washer, dryer, dishwasher, oven, etc.), HVAC systems, water heaters, roofs, and other major home systems. We’re always expanding coverage.
Assets come pre-populated based on the ‘Property Type’ that you select when a property is created. In addition to the pre-populated assets, you can add as many additional asset cards as you would like.
Within each Asset card, you can 1) either upload a photo in order to generate AI estimates for the asset’s condition, 2) input the age of the asset to generate a condition or 3) input the condition yourself. Based on the condition and type of the asset, and the location of your property, remaining life and replacement cost will be estimated.
Yes! Belt is a great tool for home buyers or real estate professionals to either track or compare the assets in multiple properties. You can choose the Premium account tier in order to add up to 10 properties.
Estimates are designed as helpful guides, not precise predictions. They’re based on AI analysis, typical lifespans, and industry averages. Many factors — like past maintenance, unusual wear, or hidden issues — can affect the
real lifespan.
No. The app can’t predict exact failures, but it can give you a ballpark sense of when replacement may be needed, so you can plan ahead or know what your potential expenses may look like if you purchase that property.
No. The app only works with visible and reported information. For safety concerns or hidden damage, you should always rely on a qualified professional.
Yes! You’ll get reminders for common tasks (like changing HVAC filters, flushing a water heater, or cleaning dryer vents) to help extend the lifespan of your assets. You can reset these reminders once the task is completed.
Breakdowns can happen unexpectedly. The estimates reflect averages, not guarantees. If something fails early, it’s likely due to unique conditions that no app can fully predict.
Yes. We take your privacy seriously, and your data is only used to provide estimates, reminders, and insights within the app. We do not sell your personal data today. If we ever consider data partnerships in the future, it would only be done in a way that protects your privacy and is clearly communicated to you in advance.
Not yet, but it’s in our plans. Our web app is mobile friendly allowing you to use a web browser, take photos with your phone, and track your appliances wherever you bring your phone.
